Description

Session Proposal 1:

Brisk Teaching Chrome Extension

Discover how Brisk, a free AI-powered Chrome extension, can revolutionize your K-12 teaching workflow in this hands-on workshop. Learn to seamlessly integrate Brisk into Google Docs, Slides, and Forms to streamline lesson planning, enhance student feedback, and simplify grading. Explore features like AI-generated activities, personalized writing suggestions, and automated tasks. By the end of the session, you'll be empowered to leverage Brisk's capabilities to save time, reduce stress, and focus on inspiring your students. While there are both free and paid versions of Brisk, this session will focus on what the free version offers. No prior experience with Brisk or AI is required, just bring your laptop and a willingness to learn!

Intended Audience: All Audiences

*Note to WiRSA: I see that a team from CESA 4 is leading a session on Harnessing AI in the Classroom. Rather than “compete” with this (I’ve seen this session in the past and it’s great), I thought that a follow up session on Brisk would be helpful to offer participants an hour of hands-on learning with a single AI tool.

Session Proposal 2:

OK Google, Organize My Life!

Need help navigating dozens of open Chrome tabs all day, every day? Join us! We’ll improve your online efficiency by optimizing your toolbar, tabs, bookmarks, and more. Learn useful tricks like how to collapse tabs into groups, create and organize bookmark folders, and customize your Chrome experience. We’ll also organize your Google Drive and learn about several great Google Chrome Extensions to improve your online organization. Instead of adding more to your plate, let’s organize it!

Intended Audience: All Audiences

Session Proposal 3:

Formative Assessment Practices (and how AI can help)

Gain practical strategies for implementing formative assessment throughout the learning cycle. Learn how to use formative assessment data to adjust or differentiate instruction and target support. Participants will explore several AI tools that can provide insight into students’ levels of proficiency and help teachers make informed decisions for classroom instruction.

Intended Audience: All Audiences
