Just Announced: Planning Effective Drills – Virtual Presentation
Thursday August 20 | 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
School Safety Consultant, Patrick Baldwin and Crisis Response and Recovery Specialist, Cheryl Johnson will provide a virtual presentation addressing best practices in scheduling, planning and implementing trauma sensitive drills in schools. Participants will learn about school violence drill requirements in Wisconsin Statute § 118.07 and how to implement drills safely and effectively within their individual school environments, preparing their communities without causing fear. Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) Training Sessions
OSS will be providing opportunities statewide for BTAM training in 2026. New dates and locations have been added (listed below). Registration links will soon be available on the OSS Training Opportunities webpage. New in May: BTAM Office Hours
Beginning in May, OSS is introducing BTAM office hours. Connect virtually with OSS Threat Assessment Specialist, Sue Williams, who will be available to answer questions about the BTAM process and demonstrate the BTAM application. An hour-long session is planned for May 20. Additional office hours will be added in August, October, and December.
