Description

With referenda on the rise, it’s vital for clarity to cut through noise and produce results that invest in your school community. These school leaders have passed 10 referenda of various types over the past 13 years in districts throughout the state. They will share lessons learned, innovative ideas, as well as tried and true practices, for both capital and operational votes. With state aid continuing to lag behind inflation, referenda restrictions potentially increasing, and the rhetoric around public education more critical, it’s even more crucial to be strategic with your communication and community engagement efforts. Whether you’re planning for your 1st or 15th referendum, each one has its own nuances, but all involve communicating complex data in an understandable format. Explore award-winning, budget-friendly techniques to incorporate feedback, maintain momentum, and educate the public. You will be equipped with resources to tailor a campaign that fits your district's needs and provides the best chance for success at the polls.
